Tenet’s Physician Verification Lookup (PVL) is a Primary Issuing Source Verification
Secure
• The website is only accessible via the Internet and then only with knowledge of the secure code of the site being queried.
Current
• The website is maintained in ‘real time’ and provides the same information that would be received if the hospital was queried directly.
Confidential
• The eDRCredentialing - ECHO application that feeds the PVL data is highly secure with only authorized users having access to the system.
Accurate
• The eDRCredentialing – ECHO application provider data is updated by the Medical staff office of each Tenet facility. The sites depend on other Primary Source resources for updating Credentials and Licenses, as well as the NPDB, OIG, and EPLS websites for sanction indicators. All information is contained within the provider’s records. Each provider record also contains information regarding their individual ‘standing’ within the Medical Staff membership including: Staff Status, Department and Practicing Specialties.
